Welcome

Whether you are sixteen or sixty; Aikido is an enjoyable and relaxing martial art, founded by Morihei Ueshiba (pictured left). Aikido is non-antagonistic and non-competitive, which makes the most efficient use of the human body, through redirection of an attackers initiative and momentum. This makes Aikido accessible to a wide variety of practitioners. Aikido is an effective form of self-defence and helps to build a strong mind, body and spirit.

The Yudan Nashi Kan club (which literally means "never off-guard school") has a number of dojos (training halls) in Glasgow, which are open to everybody. Go to the training page for more details. We are affiliated to the Komyokan Aikido Association under the direction of Shihan Ezra, 6th dan.

Our club has a friendly atmosphere but we train with a serious purpose. If you are interested in practising aikido then just come along, new people are always welcome.
